Kate Nash Tours for Second Album

British singer/songwriter, Kate Nash is touring North America later this year in support of her newest effort, My Best Friend is You.

Nash had a number one album with her debut, Made of Bricks. She topped the charts with the hit song, “Foundations,” and won the BRIT award, “Best Female Artist,” in 2008.

The North American leg of Nash’s tour gets started at House of Blues in San Diego on October 27, and closes out at Wellmont Theatre in New Jersey on November 20. Nash will also be making stops in Vancouver and Toronto in November.

Andre Rieu Celebrates Music

Andre Rieu

World renowned violinist, Andre Rieu, will be touring in North America later this year. He will perform in twelve cities this winter, including Vancouver and Toronto in December.

According to Andre Rieu, music is his life. Since the first waltz he ever played, he realized that he wanted to make classical music more accessible to the public, and has spent the last twenty years doing just that.

Brad Paisley on H20 World Tour

Brad Paisley

Country music star, Brad Paisley, is currently touring North America. His eighth studio album, American Saturday Night, has produced three number one singles, “Then,” “Welcome to the Future,” and “American Saturday Night.”

The H20 World Tour will open with Darius Rucker of Hootie and the Blowfish, and Justin Moore, singer of the hit song “Small Town USA.”

K’naan Tours Through October

Toronto based hip-hop artist, K’naan, extended his 2010 tour schedule recently to include dates throughout the U.S. in fall.

K’naan has had global success with the single, “Wavin’ Flag,” from the 2009 album, Troubadour. The song was chosen as the 2010 World Cup anthem, and has since topped the charts in more than ten countries.

In the spring of this year, K’naan teamed up with Wale for a co-headlining tour which took them to cities along the U.S. East coast.

Lady Gaga became the reigning “Queen of Twitter” over the weekend, taking the lead as most-followed from Britney Spears. Gaga tweeted a video thank you to her over 5.7 million followers  from backstage at her concert in Tacoma, Washington on Saturday. Watch her video via Youtube here.

Arcade Fire: The Suburbs

The Arcade Fire

Montreal based indie favorite, Arcade Fire, released their third studio album, The Suburbs, earlier this month with positive reception from both reviewers as well as their anticipatory fan base. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard chart, and has rivaled Eminem for the top spot in the last week.
