Robert Plant Extends Band of Joy Tour

Robert Plant has extended The Band of Joy Tour, which kicks off today in Asheville, NC. Plant and the Band of Joy album collaborators will now tour through the end of April, playing their final show in Denver on April 27th.

Many west coast dates were added, including Vancouver, Portland, Seattle, and Los Angeles. The North Mississippi Allstars will offer support as opening act on all tour dates.

David Gray Launches Lost and Found Tour

British singer and songwriter, David Gray, has announced that he will begin touring this February in support of his 2010 release, Foundling.

Like many other top acts have recently done, Gray is taking an intimate approach to tour scheduling, choosing only to play smaller venues in larger cities. What’s more, Gray’s tour will be all acoustic.

David Gray’s 2011 Lost and Found tour will kick off February 21st at the Citi Performing Arts Center in Boston, MA, with stops in twelve cities, including Toronto and Vancouver, before closing out at Spreckels Theatre in San Diego, CA on (more…)

The Decemberists Launch Tour This Month

The Decemberists

Indie rock band, The Decemberists, will be touring in support of their soon-to-be released album, The King is Dead, beginning this month.

The tour kicks off with three nights at Beacon Theatre in New York City. The group will play two Canadian cities, Montreal and Toronto, as well as dates in the U.S. and U.K. through March.

The King is Dead is the sixth release from The Decemberists, and features Peter Buck of R.E.M. and folk singer, Gillian Welch. The album (more…)

Lauryn Hill Back in the Spotlight

Hip-hop artist, Lauryn Hill has had a somewhat elusive decade, since topping the charts back in 1998. Recently though, the songstress thrilled fans with the announcement of nearly twenty tour dates set for this winter.

The tour kicked off earlier this month, and will continue through March. Hill will play shows in both Toronto and Montreal, as well as twelve U.S. cities.

Rascal Flatts Takes Nothing Like This into 2011

After a successful summer, Rascal Flatts has added another round of dates to their Nothing Like This Tour that will take the band to twenty U.S. cities in 2011.

Rascal Flatts has enjoyed much success since their debut in 2000. The trio has produced six multi-platinum records, and was recognized as the Academy of Country Music’s “Top Vocal Group” from 2002 until 2009.

Broken Social Scene Tours in Fall

Broken Social Scene

Toronto-based indie group, Broken Social Scene, released a new album called Forgiveness Rock Record earlier this year, and have been on tour in promotion of the album since May. They will return to North America this fall to perform over thirty dates across the U.S. and Canada.

Headed by Kevin Drew and Brendan Canning, this is the first album from Broken Social Scene in five years. Although the band size has slimmed down over the years, in true Broken Social Scene fashion, the tour will feature a series of guests. Among them are (more…)
