Bob Dylan Tours Through November

The legendary Bob Dylan begins a thirty-five date fall tour today at University Center in Davie, Florida. Recently extended, the tour will include additional shows in Washington, New Jersey, and Massachusetts, as well as three nights at Terminal 5 in New York City.

Fifty years and going, Dylan continues to make relevant music. He released two albums last year, Together Through Life and Christmas in the Heart. Together Through Life debuted at number one on the charts, and was mostly co-written with Robert Hunter (more…)

Stone Temple Pilots Reroute Tour

Stone Temple Pilots

The Stone Temple Pilots have announced a rerouted tour set to kick off on October 8 at St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa, FL.

The nearly forty city tour that began in August was stopped short earlier this week when frontman, Scott Weiland, announced that the band would be taking a “short break” before hitting the road again in October.

The National on the Road for High Violet

Brooklyn based indie rock group, The National, are touring North America in support of their fifth record, High Violet. The album was released in May of this year to much praise. Reaching number three on the charts, The National’s newest effort outdid their much loved break out album of 2007, Boxer.

The tour for High Violet began earlier this year, and has taken The National to sold out venues in Canada, the U.S., and U.K.

The group will make a stop in Vancouver this weekend for two nights at Malkin Bowl, before heading south for dates in over (more…)

Arcade Fire: The Suburbs

Montreal based indie favorite, Arcade Fire, released their third studio album, The Suburbs, earlier this month with positive reception from both reviewers as well as their anticipatory fan base. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard chart, and has rivaled Eminem for the top spot in the last week.

Arcade Fire have been promoting The Suburbs all summer, playing major festivals all over. The group currently have over twenty-five dates scheduled worldwide, including four shows in Canada. They will also be headlining the upcoming Reading Festival and Leeds Festival (more…)

The Black Crowes: Say Goodnight to the Bad Guys

The Black Crowes

After twenty years of making music, The Black Crowes are taking a precautionary breather as a band, but not before an extensive four month tour in support of their newest effort, Croweology. The new album, just released this month, is an all-acoustic, double album of rerecorded tracks from their comprehensive catalog.

The tour kicks off on August 13 in Milwaukee, and will take the group to over fifty cities, including one Canadian stop, Massey Hall in Toronto on October 27. The tour will close out with six nights at The Fillmore in San Francisco in December. The shows will consist of two ninety minute sets, the first acoustic, and second electric. (more…)
