KISS 35th anniversary tour dates finalized

Wednesday, August 26th, 2009

KISS has just announced the scheduled dates for their “KISS Alive 35″ tour in celebration of 35 years of the band, as well as in support of their upcoming studio album, “Sonic Boom,” scheduled for an October 6th release.

The tour is set to hit 39 different cities, with their two opening shows both to be played in the “Rock City,” Detroit, on September 25th and 26th. The tour will continue throughout the fall, with the final show taking place in Dallas, TX on December 6th.

On the tour the band has seven scheduled Canadian stops, with one more scheduled for October 7th in Oshawa, a show that was recently surrounded in controversy due to KISS leaving the city off the itinerary despite having won an online poll that guaranteed them a show. However, band co-founder Gene Simmons had revealed under pressure that the band had planned all along to play in Oshawa on the day their new album is released, but wanted to keep it a surprise.

KISS Tickets have gone on sale for some cities, but many other cities are still waiting for the public sale to take place Saturday, August 29th, and even more still are waiting for any ticket information at all.
