Wayne Coyne

Eccentric rockers, The Flaming Lips, are currently on tour and in a city near you. They have four stops set for Canada, and over twenty cities left on their calendar. The tour runs through fall with the finale scheduled for St. Augustine, Florida on October 15th.

Led by the imaginative singer, guiarist, and songwriter, Wayne Coyne, The Flaming Lips have been around since the eighties. It was their 1999 album, The Soft Bulletin, that placed them into mainstream consciousness, and gained the group critical acclaim. By the time the 2002 follow up album, Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots, was released, the group had a devoted following. On tour for Yoshimi, they became known for their outlandish live shows. (more…)
