Anne-Sophie Mutter is a classically-trained violinist from Rheinfelden, Germany. Having played with the Berlin Philharmonic at the age of thirteen and the New York Philharmonic just four years later, the violinist's prodigious talent has seen her achieve international superstardom.
Whether playing one of her two 300-year-old Stradivarius violins or her custom-designed Regazzi, Mutter is famous for the beautiful tone she is able to achieve. Her skill and soul are amply evident in her 1998 recording of Beethoven's Violin Sonatas, but are even more so in person.
