Anoushka Shankar Tickets
Anoushka Shankar may be the daughter of famed sitar player Ravi Shankar, but her career as a musician and composer has blossomed entirely on its own. In 2003, Shankar was nominated for a Grammy along with her half-sister, singer-songwriter Norah Jones. The nomination, for her third album, made her the youngest female ever to be nominated for the World Music category.
Whether playing by herself, with her father, or with famous friends including Lenny Kravitz, Sting, and Herbie Hancock, Shankar's unique sound has made her someone to watch out for, and not just in the world of sitar music.
