Rock in Rio Tickets
Rock in Rio is a group of rock festivals held in both hemispheres (Brazil, Portugal and Spain â?? projected to be held in Mexico and Colombia). Rio hosted the '85, '91 and '01 versions. Lisbon took '04, '06, '08 and '10.
Brazilian entrepreneur Roberto Medina formed the festival, which is considered the largest in the world, drawing 1.5 million in the original incarnation, three quarters of a million in the second, over a million in the third and a quarter of a million plus in the Lisbon events. The fourth will come home to Rio, with Elton John, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Metallica, Stevie Wonder, Guns N' Roses and many more featured in various venues.
