Lupe first received underground success after a series of underground mix tapes, featuring his politically conscious and completely unique lyrical style. Fiasco's first mainstream success however, was on Kanye West's single Touch the Sky, from Late Registration. After being featured on Kanye's album, Lupe released his own first single Kick Push and his debut album Lupe Fiasco's Food & Liquor. The album was extremely well received and critically-acclaimed, earning him four Grammy Awards and status as one of the best lyricists in hip hop.
After releasing his second album The Cool in 2008, Lupe Fiasco announced plans to join Kanye West, N.E.R.D and Rihanna on the highly anticipated Glow in the Dark Tour. The tour will hit numerous North American cities and is one of the most anticipated concerts of 2008.
