Born in 1962, Stanley Kirk Burrell is an American rapper and entrepreneur, actor and dancer. In the '80s and '90s, he was best known for his hit, "U Can't Touch This," and in general for his outrageous dance movements and parachute pants. He went on to lose an immense fortune, and became a preacher in the late '90s. He is considered a pioneer of pop rap.
Mc Hammer is the first hip hop artist ever to reach the "diamond" rank for an album. He has always managed the business of his own work. His 2010 video, "Better Run Run" was seen as a retaliation against Jay-Z's criticism, but Hammer denies it. His new track, "See Her Face (She Got It)" premiered in 2011 on Oprah.
