Atari Teenage Riot is a German digital hardcore group, founded in Berlin, 1992. The name is taken from a song of Portugese Joe from the Teenage Riot album. The band is always politically charged and decidedly anti-fascist. Although they were signed by the prestigious European label, Phonogram, substantial financial assistance allowed them to form their own label, Digital Hardcore Recordings.
They released the album "60 Second Wipe Out" in '99. After breaking up, DHR released a compilation, "Atari Teenage Riot: 1992-2000." The band reunited in 2010 for live shows in Europe and headlined London's Offset Festival in '10 and '11. A new single, "Activate," appeared in '10, with a purported album due in '11.
