An American actor, film producer, director, comedian and screenwriter, Martin Lawrence was born in Germany in 1965. His emergence included the final round of "Star Search" and a role in Spike Lee's "Do the Right Thing."
He gathered fame in movies through the '90s such as "Bad Boys," "Blue Streak, "Big Momma's House" and "Bad Boys II." He had his own series, "Martin" between '92 and '97. Lawrence hosted Def Comedy Jam and Saturday Night Live, despite being banned for life due to an over-the-top monologue.
