Founded in 1992, the Swedish melodic death band from Tumba takes their name from Tolkien's Sindarin translation of Mt. Doom. Norse mythology is a recurring theme. The band has released eight albums, one EP and seven music videos. Their first demo in '92, "Thor Arise" was not released due to poor recording quality, but the second, "The Arrival of Fimbul Winter," fared much better.

"The Crusher" album, released in '01 is considered their most extraverted. The mythology theme goes on to include "Fate of Noms," "With Oden On Our Side," "Twilight of the Thunder God" and the DVD, "Wrath of the Norsemen." The spring of 2011 will bring "Surtur Rising."
