Born George Michael Dolenz in 1945 (Los Angeles), Micky Dolenz is an actor and musician, TV director, radio artist and theater director. He is undoubtedly best known for his role in The Monkees (drummer and vocals), the TV band of the 1960s. His career began in '56 when he starred in the children's show, "Circus Boy."
After The Monkees, Dolenz released several singles on MGM Records. In '05, he toured with sister Coco Dolenz, did voice-over work and revived Pippin in '06. After a run in Hairspray in 2010, he reunited with The Monkees for "An Evening With the Monkees: The 45th Anniversary Tour."
