Born Destiny Hope Cyrus in 1992, the American actress and pop singer achieved greatest fame on the sitcom Hannah Montana, a show for which she has recorded tracks. Signing with Hollywood Records for a solo career, she has performed as herself and the Hannah Montana character. The debut album, "Breakout," was an immediate success.
Cyrus filmed the voice of "Penny" in the film, "Bolt." It was nominated for a Golden Globe as Best Original Song. She began her adult career in '09 with "The Time of Our Lives, and the drama, "The Last Song." A new album, "Can't Be Tamed," was released in 2010 with touring plans for 2011, plus a possible starring role in a comedy film.
