Peter Murphy Tickets

Peter John Murphy, born in 1957 in Northampton, is an English vocalist, formerly of Bauhaus. Later solo recordings included "Deep" and "Love Hysteria." Physically gaunt and fond of morbid verse, he is sometimes called "The Godfather of Goth." He can be heard in the horror film, "Hunger" performing "Bela Lugosi's Dead."

After several radio shows, Murphy released two albums, which have all but disappeared. Songwriter Paul Statham has changed all of that with "All Night Long" and "Indigo Eyes." Murphy's high point was the release of "Deep." He has converted to Islam, and toured extensively to promote the new "Shattered." In 2010, he cancelled a one hundred concert world tour, but performs in the U.S.
