Roky Erickson Tickets
Born in 1947, Roky Erickson is an American singer/songwriter, guitarist and harmonica artist from Texas. He is a founding member of "13th Floor Elevators," and is considered a pioneer of the psychedelic genre. His first group was The Spades.
The debut album was entitled, "The Psychedelic Sounds of the 13th Floor Elevators.," and the best known of Erickson's work is the '66 debut single, "You're Gonna Miss Me," a particularly harsh break-up song. Experiencing mental trouble (paranoid schizophrenia) after '68, he returned to record fifteen new songs in '82. After claiming to be possessed by Martians, he recovered for the '95 release, "All That May Do My Rhyme." He returned to the stage in '08 and in 2010, released "True Love Cast Out All Evil."
