Sharon Jones & the Dap-kings are a funk, soul, R&B band that have been in the music industry since 1996. They have released albums under the Daptone Records label. The band has released four albums with the first one in 2002 and this was "Dap Dippin' with Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings". Their latest album was released in 2010 and called "I Learned The Hard Way".
Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings released their first single in October 2001 with "Got a Thing on My Mind". The Dap-Kings were the backing band on Amy Winehouse's first American tour.
