The Pussycat Dolls are an American female pop singing group. They began as a burlesque dance troupe based in Los Angeles, as well as in Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The group was founded by choreographer, Robin Antin, in 1995. They released their first single in 2004. The dancers perform in lingerie and old-fashioned pin-up costumes, and have been featured in magazines, ad campaigns and movies.

The group have released many singles, such as "Stickwitu" and "I Don't Need a Man." They also collaborated with other musicians to produce hit singles, "Don't Cha," "Beep," and "Buttons."

The Pussycat Dolls is comprised of members including Nicole Scherzinger, Carmit Bachar, Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta, Melody Thornton and Kimberly Wyatt. Nicole Scherzinger (a.k.a. Nicole Kea), a former member of the American Popstars winners Eden's Crush, has become the group's lead singer.

The Pussycat Dolls released their debut album, PCD, on September 13, 2005. It debuted at #5 on the Billboard 200 selling over 99,000 copies.The album slipped down to number 15 on its second week, 23 its third week, 36 its fourth week, but returned to the top 30 thanks to the hit single "Stickwitu". The album has sold over 1.2 million copies, achieving platinum certification. The album features tracks produced by of The Black Eyed Peas, Timbaland, Rich Harrison, Sean Garett and Ron Fair.

In December 2005, The Pussycat Dolls won a Billboard Music Award for "Don't Cha" as Top Hot/Dance Club Play Single of the Year, the song was also nominated for Top-selling Single of the Year and Top-selling Dance Single of the Year.

The Pussycat Dolls have toured and performed with many other artists throughout their career. They have toured with The Black Eyed Peas, Rihanna and will soon be featured in Christina Aguilera's Back to Basics tour. They have collaborated with artists including Snoop Dogg ("Buttons"), Busta Rhymes ("Don't Cha"), of The Black Eyed Peas ("Beep") and Timbaland ("Wait a Minute").
