Third Day is a Christian rock band formed in Atlanta, Georgia during
the 1990s. Their name is a reference to the biblical account of Jesus
rising from the dead on the third day following his crucifixion. The band
was founded by lead singer Mac Powell and guitarist Mark Lee.The other
band members are as follows: Tai Anderson, bass ; David Carr, drums; Brad
Avery, guitars. The group won both the 2003 and the 2005 Grammy Award for
Best Rock Gospel Album for Come Together and Wire, respectively.
