Thursday, March 14th, 2013

NHL fans tired of seeing the same divisional teams over and over again will likely welcome the latest plan to re-align the league’s 30 teams. 2013 NHL Regular Season Schedule Released, Features In-Conference Games Only

Sunday, January 13th, 2013

It’s about 3 months late, but the start of the National Hockey League season is finally set for January 19th. With both the NHL owners and players wrapping up the ratification process on Saturday morning, the long-awaited 2013 schedule was released later that evening.

This means fans looking for a renewal of the Canucks-Bruins rivalry or for Sid the Kid to come out West will either have to hope for a match-up in the Stanley Cup Finals, or wait til next year.
Does the in-conference only schedule affect whether you’ll be going back to NHL hockey this year? Or are you excited for hockey anyway?

In an interview with Vancouver’s CFOX radio station this morning, the man himself spoke of his future in no uncertain terms by stating the following:

“At the end of the day, it’s time to move on and I’m okay with that. I had a great six years in Vancouver. I think it’s a wonderful city, I really enjoyed my time there. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to bring a Stanley Cup there, which was probably my biggest regret. But it will be remembered for six great years.” Source: TSN.ca
