Aberdeen Ironbirds are a Short-Season A classification affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles. They were founded in 1977, and based in Utica, New York until 2002.
The team moved to Aberdeen, Maryland when they were purchased by Cal Ripken Jr. in 2002. They play their home games at Ripken Stadium.
