Los Angeles Kings Tickets
The Los Angeles Kings are a professional NHL
hockey franchise, based out of Los Angeles, California. The team was first founded
in 1967 as an expansion franchise and currently competes in the Pacific Division
of the Western Conference in the NHL. The Kings play their home games in the
Staples
Center, located in downtown, Los Angeles.
Although their record may not always reflect it, the Los Angeles Kings are
one of the most exciting teams in the NHL to watch live. This is due to the
team's speed, offensive and defensive presence, the architecture of the recently
constructed Staples Center and the star-studded spectacle that makes up a Kings
game.

The turn of the century brought with it major changes for the Los Angeles Kings.
Current owners Phillip F. Anchultz and Edward P. Roski took control of the team in 1995 and then hired General Manager Dave Taylor to take over the hockey operations following the 1996-97 season. Taylor took no time turning the Kings around, with the team posting 90-point seasons each season from 1999-2002.
It was also during the 1999-00 season that the Kings found a new castle, moving from the Forum into the state-of-the art STAPLES Center.
A symbol of the team's changing fortunes came in the first round of the 2001 playoffs against a heavily favored Detroit team. Up two games to one going into Game 4, Detroit held a 3-0 advantage with eight minutes remaining in the third period. What happened next has earned the moniker as "The Frenzy on Figueroa" within Kings nation.
Seldom-used forward Scott Thomas finally got Los Angeles on the board at the 13:53 mark and Jozef Stumpel lit the crowd up with another goal less than four minutes later. Finally, Brian Smolinski tied the game with just 53 seconds left, whipping the STAPLES Center crowd into a craze. In the overtime, the Kings' Adam Deadmarsh stole the puck and hit Eric Belanger for the game-winner, lifting Los Angeles to a magical come-from-behind win. L.A. would go on to win take the next two games of the series, completing one of the biggest playoff comebacks in recent memory.
While players like Robitaille, Deadmarsh, Palffy, Mattias Norstrom and Ian Laperriere have all donned Kings sweaters over the past few years, it is the Kings future which has Kings fans the most excited.
Hockey in Los Angeles, what a concept!!!!!
