Fela! Tickets
Fela! is an original new Broadway musical, celebrating the life story of Fela Kuti, an Afrobeat artist who co-founded and led the genre. Fela was a Nigerian multi-instrumentalist musician and composer who was born in 1938 and died in 1997.
A human rights activist and political activist as well, much material exists from Kuti's life to form such a production. The musical is a collaboration between the Afrobeat band Antibales and Tony Award winner Bill T. Jones. It was a massive success in 2010, and was nominated for a 2011 Tony.
