Born in Baltimore, 1959, Ira Glass is a broadly recognized radio personality, the host and producer of "This American Life." He is related to composer Philip Glass. Educated at Northwestern and Brown, Glass began as an intern on NPR, and served as reporter and host for "Morning Edition," All Things Considered" and "Talk of the Nation."
This American Life reaches almost two million listeners, is now broadcast to three hundred theaters, and has been released in half-hour episodes on Showtime. Glass has appeared on the Late Show, the Colbert Report and The Daily Show.
