Steely Dan adds American dates to summer tour

Steely Dan has announced new dates to be added to their “Rent Party ’09 Tour,” which is set to kick off on June 11th in Durham, NC, and continue through the summer with a brief European leg in the middle. The band has added a total of 11 new shows to their tour, extending the string of concerts until its closing night in Detroit, MI on September 6th.

Steely Dan has the standard single-night shows planned, but on top of those, they have “Classic Album (Plus)” nights that will take place in Boston, New York, Universal City, and Chicago. These nights will have the band playing some of their classic albums in their entirety in addition to other Steely Dan favorites, and will be played over multiple dates at the same venue.

Lastly, the band will include a “Takin’ It to the Seats” Internet Request Night where the setlist will be dictated by the number of requests from fans online prior to the date.
