Top 10 Major League Baseball Stadiums

Yankee Stadium
If you’re a baseball fan, then you look forward to each spring when the new season arrives. More than any other sport, the start of baseball season has a sort of new car smell to it. Everyone’s team starts off with new hopes and a clean slate.
One of my favorite things to do during the summer is go one a few trips to watch games in different ballparks. One thing about baseball is no two parks’ dimensions are required to be the same, which gives each team a chance to design their own unique stadium.
Here is a list of my top ten stadiums in Major League Baseball that are worth visiting:
1.) Fenway Park in Boston
2.) Wrigley Field in Chicago
3.) Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles
4.) Oriole Park in Baltimore
5.) AT&T Park in San Francisco
6.) Coors Field in Denver
7.) Yankee Stadium in The Bronx NY
8.) PNC Park in Pittsburgh
9.) Marlins Ballpark in Miami
10.) Busch Stadium in St. Louis
Whether you have a favorite stadium or are itching to step inside one for the first time, ShowTimeTickets.com can get you tickets to all 30 teams in Major League Baseball. Check out our website to see what games are playing today!

World Series Battle of the Aces

WorldSeriesThe 2010 World Series run has been called by many the Battle of the Aces. With the San Francisco Giants defeating the Philadelphia Phillies over the weekend we saw one Cy Young winner, Roy Halladay, defeated by another two time winner, Tim Lincecum. Now, who better to take the mound against Tim “the Freak” Lincecum in Game 1 of the World Series than another Cy Young Winning, Cliff Lee for the Texas Rangers.

The 2008 Cy Young winner Cliff Lee, has made a name for himself as one of the MLB’s best all time postseason pitchers with a 7-0 record and a 1.26 ERA in eight career post season starts. He has allowed just 2 earned runs over 24 innings this postseason.

Meanwhile, 26 year old Tim Lincecum has earned the respect of many MLB fans with the 98 mph fast ball he is able to generate with his slight 170 lb build as well as his deadly changeup, earning him two Cy Young awards. Read More

Yankees Hopeful in Game 6

yankees

The New York Yankees are set to face the Texas Rangers in Game 6 of the American League Championship Series tonight at Rangers Ballpark.

The Rangers will be hungry for revenge after a decisive 7-2 defeat by the Yankees on Tuesday night at the new Yankee Stadium. In a do-or-die situation, the Yankees were able to pull off a win that kept them in contention for the World Series. Now as the series moves to Texas for Game 6 and potentially Game 7, they face an uphill battle.

For Yankees fans seeing a team rise through the ashes is not something new. Many may remember the 2004 ALCS where the Yankees won the first 3 games of the series only to have the Boston Red Sox become the first major league team to rebound from a postseason 3-0 deficit.

Game 6 will see a repeat of Game 2 aces Phil Hughes for the Yankees and Colby Lewis for the Rangers. Read More

Battle of the Aces for NLCS

pitchers2Last night marked a big win for the San Francisco Giant against the Philadelphia Phillies in game four of the National League Championship Series.

The Giants scraped by the Phillies with a sacrifice fly to left field off of Phillies’ reliever Roy Oswalt to bring Aubrey Huff home. Aubrey had hit a single earlier in the inning, and made it to third off of a single by Buster Posey.

“I got butterflies,” winning pitcher Brian Wilson said. “I got anxiety. I got a mini-ulcer developing, but it’s all worth it. We never lost focus.”

The win brings the Giants one win away from the World Series. Tonight’s Game 5 will see some of the MLB’s finest pitchers battle it out.

Starting pitcher for the Phillies, will be Roy “The Doc” Halladay, Read More

MLB Regular Season Winds Down

MLBMajor League Baseball is winding down with less than a week left of regular season play.
It was an exciting night for the American League Tuesday, as the Yankees and Rays secured spots in the upcoming playoffs.
The Yankees are celebrating after a 6-1 win over the Toronto Blue Jays last night. With the exception of 2008, the NY Yankees have made it into the playoffs every year since 1995.
