Seahawks Outllook in Game Three

seahawksIt’s week three for the NFL, and the Seattle Seahawks are going in 1-1. Under the new leadership of head coach Pete Carroll, the Seahawks are showing signs of change, and are still looking for their rhythm as a team.
Seattle opened strong against San Francisco with a 31-6 win over the 49ers at home. In game two on the road, the Seahawks didn’t fair so well, losing to Denver 31-14.
The HeraldNet has Carroll quoted as saying of last week’s game, “It’s a long, long haul and we have yet to figure out as a team how to play well on the road. We’ll figure that out as we go along.”
Seattle will look to Hawks’ quarterback, Matt Hasselbeck, to find his groove in game three against the San Diego Chargers. Seattle can’t afford poor execution, like the three blunders against Denver.
The Chargers come into game three with the number three offense, and ranked sixth for rushing in the league. This should complicate things for a growing defense who is also suffering an injury.
The injury comes from Leroy Hill, who had just returned to play from suspension. Hill is starting linebacker for the Seahawks, and acquired an injury in the Achilles tendon while playing in last week’s game against the Broncos. The injury will keep Hill off the field presumably for several games.
