With a stage name taken from a dietary supplement, Iron and Wine (Samuel Bearn, b. '74) is an American singer/songwriter, with four albums, several EPs, singles, and free downloads (including a live album from the 2005 Bonnaroo performance) to his credit. He sometimes tours with a full band.
The first album, The Creek Drank the Cradle, produced in a home studio, has been compared to Simon & Garfunkel. The second, Our Endless Numbered Days came in '04, with EPs "Woman King" and "In the Reins," which included additional instruments for the first time. A third album, The Shepherd's Dog came in '07, and a 2010 release includes Record Store Day Black Friday. The most recent 2011 release is Kiss Each Other Clean.
