Tower of Power Tickets
The American R&B band out of Oakland, California, Tower of Power, has been recording and performing for forty years since its first hits in the early '70s, which included "Bump City" ('72) and "Tower of Power" ('73). Moving toward funk in the mid-70s, they still continued performing ballades.
Over sixty noteworthy musicians have toured or recorded with the band through its history, and it was featured on Josh Groban's "Awake." After nineteen albums, plans were made to release a 2008 performance in San Francisco as a 2010 DVD, in which many former members appeared together onstage. Tour plans in 2011 will take the band back to their California roots.
