Alexisonfire is a post-hardcore band from St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. Their music is characterized by turbulent and explosive dynamics with intricate guitar melodies. Consisting of five friends, they formed in late 2001. The band's name is a sort-of homage to a contortionist stripper named Alexis Fire. Band members include George Pettit, Dallas Green, Wade MacNeil, Chris Steele and John Hastings.

Alexisonfire recently toured Europe and Australia with the band Rise Against, with numerous European venues selling out or having to be upgraded to accommodate the large number of fans.

The members of Alexisonfire also have a number of side projects. Green performs solo acoustic material under the moniker City and Colour whereas Pettit and MacNeil have recently formed The Black Lungs with two members of the band Jersey.
