Bon Jovi Tickets Continued

Ticket demand for the first 34 Have A Nice Day concerts have been through the roof, with an unprecedented 502,000 tickets sold and 17 sold out shows during the first weekend of on-sales in North America and Europe. Fan demand in Chicago, Boston, East Rutherford, Montreal, Toronto, and Detroit was so strong that additional concerts were put on sale immediately.

On September 20th, Bon Jovi released their ninth studio album Have a Nice Day.

AEG Live's Randy Phillips states, "The formula for Bon Jovi's success is very simple: Take one of Rock's greatest live bands with a work ethic that is not-to-be-believed, mix in a fantastic new album, and add a gigantic and loyal fan base and the results are this weekend's on-sales in the United States, Canada, and Europe. The Have A Nice Day World Tour comes on the heels of Bon Jovi achieving a career-high first week of album sales with Have A Nice Day sales of 201,881 units. Boosted by a non-stop week of television, radio, satellite and Internet media events, Island recording group Bon Jovi debuted on the Billboard 200 Albums chart last week, as Have A Nice Day entered at #2 with first week sales of 201,881 units. The Have A Nice Day World Tour is being promoted internationally by Concerts West, an AEG Live company.

On January 21, 2006 in Hamilton, Ontario, Bon Jovi's plane skidded off the runway after a show in Buffalo. The runway was said to be overshot. Luckily none of the band members were harmed.

On February 7, 2006 a promotional album, "Live from the Have a Nice Day Tour," was released through Wal-Mart. It contains six live tracks recorded in December 2005 in Boston.

On February 19, 2006, Bon Jovi performed as the headlining act prior to the Daytona 500.
