Fall Out Boy is an alternative rock band from the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, that formed in 2001. The band consists of Pete Wentz (bass, backing vocals), Patrick Stump (lead vocals, guitar), Joe Trohman (lead guitar) and Andy Hurley (drums). The band's name is taken from superhero Radioactive Man's sidekick on the animated TV show The Simpsons.
After five studio albums and major chart success, Fall Out Boy took a hiatus in 2008 citing overwork on its members. However, the group announced in February 2013 that they would be reuniting to produce their first album in five years, Save Rock and Roll. The Save Rock and Roll Tour will take the band to venues across North American in 2013.
