With a 1994 Grammy Award for Best Rock Performance, more than 5 albums selling over 20 million units, and several successful hit singles, namely Plush, Vasoline, Interstate Love Song, Big Bang Baby, Down and Sour Girl, the Stone Temple Pilots have made their mark in rock n' roll history.

Splitting in 2003, lead-singer Scott Weiland, would join members of Guns n' Roses to form Velvet Revolver, while the rest of the band joined Richard Patrick of Filter to form Army of Anyone. Rumours of a reunion started to swirl in early 2008, but their official reunion tour kicked-off with a headlining slot at the Rock on the Range Festival in May 2008.
