Clap Your Hands Say Yeah was forced
to repress the CD after the huge demand for the album, as the initial production run was too small. The band,
which started out by playing weekly shows at Pianos in NYC, shunned
multiple distribution offers as they rose to fame.
David Bowie and David Byrne have recently been spotted at some of the
band's shows, garnering them even more press. Most recently, they
received praise from Rolling Stone as the 'Hot New Band' for 2005. In
October 2005, they were signed to Wichita Recordings in the UK.
Clap Your Hands Say Yeah's latest album, Some Loud Thunder, was released in 2007.
