Eddie Money Tickets Continued
In the early 1970s, Eddie Money attended the New York
Police Academy to become a New York police officer. He worked briefly
at the NYPD, an experience he described jokingly to Joan Rivers as
working undercover, adding "Yeah, I was an undercover typist!" He
soon found his calling as a singer. Eddie Money moved first to
Los Angeles, then to San Francisco. By 1976, he signed to CBS Records
as a prodigy under the late promoter Bill Graham.
Eddie Money was one of the original artists to reach out to
fans with MTV, as he pioneered the music video fad. Creating some
thirty music videos, Eddie Money was not shy of the small
screen. Eddie Money still remains on tour today, with an
average of sixty shows a year. He is quoted with saying, "I love
doing what I do, why change that?" Versatile on the piano, harmonica,
and a vibrant saxophonist, Eddie Money is a big fan of crowds
whom he calls his "friends," saying, "I don't do it for the money, I
do it for you!"
